This paper is a reflection on an essay by Lon Luvois Fuller, taken from his work The Principles of Social Order (1981). The aim is to emphasize how Fuller’s conception of law can be useful to understand the reasons for the crisis of contemporary legal and political orders. In particular, Fuller’s idea that law originates in the interaction between individuals and serves the purpose of organizing and fostering relations between them is deepened.
